The Analyst position for the CBRE Business Analytics group supports business intelligence projects focused on real estate data analyses for CBREs US-based and global clients. Through data warehousing, visualization, and examination, this position helps our clients optimize their operations across all service lines: facilities management, project management, finance, portfolio administration, cost forecasting, etc.
The sales analyst works closely with our sales team and database technical team to develop Tableau dashboards that leverage client data from various sources to generate meaningful client insights and support the sales and client solutions team.
Additionally, the CBRE Business Analytics group helps our clients develop budgets, benchmark facility operating costs, and predict upcoming capital requirements. An analyst supports projects to collect the requisite client real estate data, build and refine cost models using CBRE tools, and present a meaningful financial story in formal reports and briefings.
The ideal candidate possesses a broad skill set. Required skills include: technical capabilities with data manipulation and data modeling; intermediate to advanced Tableau knowledge; working in a team environment; and advanced communication skills. Experience in the corporate real estate outsourcing industry is preferred. Minimum of three years of experience. Advanced degree not required but preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support sales leads with business intelligence and facility cost analyses during the sales process for a variety of corporate and government clients.
Support sales pipeline, commercial pricing requests, internal and external presentation deliverables.
Provide support and administration for sales portal.
Create, maintain and optimize creative data visualizations and dashboards (in Tableau) to derive actionable intelligence.
Aggregation and analysis of quantitative data; forecast and trending of performance data.
Support on problem solving team that develops recommendations based on data interpretations.
Provide subject matter expertise on data-related processes and analyses.
Collect key financial and real estate portfolio data from clients for inclusion in cost models.
Other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. Masters degree or MBA preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training. Minimum 3+ years of related experience preferred.

DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYTICS
Excellent data management, manipulation, and analysis skills. Ability to create integrated data models from disparate sources. Understanding of relational databases. Highly skilled in dashboard design and development. Intermediate to advanced Tableau skills are required. Proficiency in database technologies such as Microsoft Access or SQL Server is preferred.
FINANCIAL AND STATISTICAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires basic knowledge of financial and statistical terms and principles.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex data sets. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Products, particularly Excel. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
